The stone course is a good mix of finishes from smooth polished to rough textured. There are eight stones sampled; granite, Portland, flagstones, two types of both marble and concrete and slate.

 

Students learn a wide variety of skills including how to apply texture as well as the more focused drawing and layers involved in recreating marble. The final two days of the course allow time to produce a larger piece of work creating intricate inlaid faux marble.
