This is a varied course teaching a range of skills useful when working on scenery. It covers a huge amount including; preparing scenery, some basic decorating, an effective wood grain project, simple sign writing, using stencils to create a tiled floor and ageing using a spray gun.

 

Throughout we cover a lot of information about materials and the many techniques used in scenic painting. Students work on an individual two metre set and practice their skills, culminating in some set dressing which adds personality to the portfolio pictures.
